An Update on the Sunroom Remodel (Finally!)

Howdy!  I can't quite seem to figure out where the time goes or how entire months pass in (what seems like) the blink of an eye.  I think it has something to do with getting older.... :/

Back in June, I shared how we were beginning our sunroom remodel  among many other projects.  Well, the sunroom has actually been done for more than a month now.  I still need to finish up some fun things like caulking and painting, but the construction is dunzo.

A reminder of where we started:

The space was pretty much unusable with low ceilings and fogged windows.  In the summer, it was too hot and in the winter it was freezing.  Since we use this as our main entry, I thought it would be better to open up the space and turn it into an open-air covered porch.

Baxter approving of his new perch...

And then he got the boot to make way for new decking.

We went with a composite decking and vinyl and pvc posts to save on maintenance down the road.

And I got the dutch door that I've been wanting!

Part deux of the remodel (including some of the finishing touches) up next!
